About

Hello! My name is Disha and I was born and brought up in India. I am a curious, creative and passionate person with an eye for detail and a decent sense of humor.

I strongly believe that all good things come in small packages!

My mother tells me that I was born with very long fingers and she prophesized that I would grow up to be artistically creative. Well, mothers sure know.

My creative journey started with taking hobby art classes followed by making products out of waste at home. As I grew up and the time came to choose a career, the Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories program at the National Institute of Fashion Technology at New Delhi was the program of my choice.

While the course provided me with a solid foundation in fundamentals of design and brought out the best of my creative self, the experience in the industry post graduation exposed me to the thrill of using my creativity into real life commercial products. It also gave me a taste of the business side of design- a taste that I really seemed to like. The curiosity to better understand the connection between business and design led me to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I pursued my masters in Design Management and explored innovative ways to bridge the gap between the two fields.

Having gone from product design and brand coordination, to ethnographic research, user experience design and strategy, I have developed an affinity for systems thinking, visual communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
